Description

Head of the Laboratory of Development and Management in Industry at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Helsinki University of Technology (TKK). Professor of Environmental and Quality Management. Director of Master of Quality (MQ) and Master of Environmental Management and Accounting (MEMA) programmes at TKK Lahti Center.

Research

Current working areas include environmental and sustainable management accounting, accounting and reporting systems of emission trading, supply chain management, and sustainable logistics. The research projects on environmental management accounting have been carried out with wholesale companies, ICT companies, transport sector and printing houses. In these projects, various accounting models with computer-aided applications have been developed. An environmental accounting tool for SMEs in the transportation sector was designed and implemented in 2005 in cooperation with the Finnish Ministry of Transportation and Communications and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
