1989 - 1992 Assistant professor at the Technical Univesity of Budapest
1998 - 2003 adjunct professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology , developing and teaching an online course in EHS Accounting and Finance
1997 - 1999 founding member and vice-director of the Hungarian Cleaner Production Centre
2001 - 2006 member of the UNDSD Environmental Accounting Expert Workgroup Member of the Environmental Management Subsection of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Major international researh projects included:
Sustainable Consumption, Production and Communication, EU financed project, co-ordinator Estimating the Willingness-to-Pay of Lake Balaton Users, with CSERGE, London
Calculating the Marginal Cost Curve for Greenhouse Gas Limitations in Hungary. UNEP/GEF Project, Riso
Consultancy work included environmental accounting (4 countries UNIDO project, DENSO, Nitrokémia 2000), environmental reporting (Electrolux), social impact assessment (MOL-Hungarian oil company), strategic environmental assessments (Ministry for Economy, Hungarian Development Agency).
