The dynamics of major changes in the organization, economy and society

New technologies, accelerated competition, changing social structures and the disappearance and emergence of institutions lead to major change processes in the economy and society. Organizations need to adapt and respond to changes, they may initiate changes.

We invite submissions to a conference focused on the following topics:

• Types of change and types of managing major changes
• Relationship between societal and organizational change processes
• Change of technologies, strategies and organizational structures in the light of theoretical approaches, e.g. institutional economics, behavioral economics, systems theory
• Creativity and innovation as driving factors of change
• Change in an organization’s function (production, logistics, marketing, finance, personnel)
• Special circumstances in industries or markets
• Special circumstances of SME

Topics on the intersection of creativity, change management and innovation might include innovative approaches to change management, the implementation of creative techniques, the implementation of new organizational concepts in innovative settings, or change management approaches that foster creativity. Suitable contributions may be published in a Special Issue of the journal „Creativity and Innovation Management“ (double blind review process).

German and English contributions are welcome. Besides a possible journal publication we will publish another CREPS- conference volume of selected papers again. We are looking forward to receiving your abstract (max. 300 words) by 30. June 2009. Please send your abstract via email to creps2009@uni.leuphana.de. We will notify authors about the acceptance by 15. July.
